5/6/7/8 DAYS HOUSTON LEISURE
Day 1: Home City to Houston
Our professional tour guide will meet guests at the baggage claim area for the domestic flight, or at the Passenger Waiting Area for the international flight. Hotel check-in time would be after 3pm, guests arrive before 3pm may secure their luggage to the front desk.
Day 2: Houston-Dallas
On the morning, we will go for the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The museum complex consists of a central facility with four floors of natural science halls and exhibits, the Burke Baker Planetarium, the Cockrell Butterfly Center, and the Wortham Giant Screen Theatre. We can’t miss The Morian Hall of Paleontology, which is packed with prehistoric beasts, and does not have the same stagnant displays of ancient skeletons standing in a row that many visitors are accustomed to seeing. Also, we will visit the Rice University, a private research university established in 1912. Rice is generally considered the top university and the most selective institute of higher education in the state of Texas. We will have a chance to see the “Willy’s statue,” the memorial to university founder William Marsh Rice, as well as James Turrell’s “Twilight Epiphany” Skyspace. Furthermore, we will stop by Toyota Center, an indoor arena famous of the Houston Rockets. We will pass by Hermann Park, Houston Zoo, visit Houston Police Officer’s Memorial for the skyline of Houston. By the end of the tour, we will head to Dallas.
Day 3: Dallas-Fort Worth
We will follow the path of history to George W Bush Presidential Library. Then we will head to Fort Worth, visit The Historic Stockyard. After lunch, we will go for the Sixth-Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. The museum examines the life, times, death, and legacy of President John F. Kennedy, and is located at the very spot from which Lee Harvey Oswald, according to four government investigations, shot and killed the President on November 22, 1963. Furthermore, the Dallas World Aquarium is a must-see. Besides, we will get to the Arts District which is a performing and visual arts district in Downtown Dallas. The last but not the least, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to step up to the most recognizable landmark in Dallas: Reunion Tower. You will enjoy the city view on the observation deck. Along the way, you will see and pass by the Giant Eyeball, Pioneer Plaza. AA Center of “Mavericks”.
Day 4: Austin-San Antonio(Night Tour)
We will arrive at the Capital city of Texas: Austin. Guests will have a chance to go inside for the State Capitol which was completed in 1888 in Downtown Austin, contains the offices and chambers of the Texas Legislature and the Office of the Governor. Our tour guides will take you for an exclusive tour to see the Senate and House chamber, Governor’s public reception room, State Capitol library etc. (If the capitol is closed on the day we visit, we will see the outside view of capitol) Next we will visit University of Texas at Austin, one of the best public research universities in US. Our tour in campus will lead you to see the fountain, statues and UT Tower. After we pass by Hope Outdoor Gallery, we will head to San Antonio. On the way to our hotel, we will make one stop to fulfill travel needs, the supermarket! After stopping at the supermarket, we will head directly to our hotel. At night, you may choose to join our Night Tour in San Antonio after you take a rest ($35/person, including $10 admission of Riverwalk Cruise). We will take you to see the tower of Friendship, tower of Americas, the river walk cruise for night view, and the amazing lighting show you don’t want to miss out.
Day 5: San Antonio-Houston Crowne
In the morning, we will go to the Alamo Mission. Following a 13-day siege, Mexican troops under President General Antonio López de Santa Anna launched an assault on the Alamo Mission, killing all of the Texan defender. And then we will take you to the River Walk, lined by bars, shops, restaurants, nature, and public art, an important part of the city’s urban fabric and a tourist attraction in its own right. After we pass by AT&T Center of “Spurs”, we will head to George Ranch Historic Park in Houston. Visiting the 1830s farm, Cattle Demonstrations which Cowboys herd, sort and rope cattle every day to administer medicines and to prepare them for market. We will make our first stop to Battleship Texas. Then go for San Jacinto Monument, the world’s tallest masonry column. It commemorates the decisive battle of the Texas Revolution. Led by General Sam Houston, the Texan Army engaged and defeated General Antonio López de Santa Anna’s Mexican army in a fight that lasted just 18 minutes. The monument is 567 feet tall and 17 feet higher than Washington Monument in DC, topped with a Lone Star – the symbol of Texas. The most important part of the day is NASA Space Center. We will go to the Space Center for Tram tour to Rocket Park, see the control center, astronaut training center, space shuttle.
Day 6: Houston-New Orleans
We reach Oak Alley Plantation, a U.S. National Historic Landmark located at the west suburban of New Orleans. We will also have a Swamp Tour, a fun adventurous yet safe boat ride that showcases the unique eco system of New Orleans region. Next we will head to our hotel for the night located at French Quarter district in New Orleans. Guests can enjoy the rest of your day exploring the area.
Day 7: New Orleans-Houston
First thing in the morning we are going to visit the National World War II Museum, formerly known as the D-Day Museum, a military history museum emphasizes the American experience in World War II. Around noon we will take you to the Mississippi Steamed Jazz Cruise. Your two-hour cruise from the heart of the French Quarter shows you why the city was founded on the beautiful crescent of the lower Mississippi River. ** MSY (Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport) 4PM ** (7 Days Tour itinerary ends here; transfer to the airport for flight back to home city. After New Orleans, you can choose flight from MSY (Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport) after 4pm. Then we will head back to Houston for drop off, please choose flight leave from IAH after 10:00PM.) **) ** (7 Days Tour: transfer back to Houston’s hotel.)
Day 8: Houston-Home After NASA Space Center, we will head back to Houston for drop off, please choose flight leave from IAH after 8:00PM.
